I added a stretch and toner class to my strength program and decreased my calorie range by 100 calories on either ends (high and low). That kicked started my weight loss again, and I lost 3 pounds in one week after going 3 weeks without losing a pound!
I mix wheat chex type cereal, peanuts and berries (usually blueberries) together for a healthy, protein filled "finger" breakfast I can eat in the car on the way to work in the morning. What I don't finish there I finish on break.
Drink a glass of water when you get up, 1 each time you go to the bathroom (this also increases the bathroom runs!), and when you go to bed. Also use water at meals along with whatever else you drink for meals. You will definitely get your eight glasses a day in.
I go to the grocery twice monthly on payday, so I buy my meat in bulk. When I get home I separate the meat into enough for each meal, add the spices, onion, sauce, or whatever the recipe calls for, place it in a freezer bag and freeze it.. Then it is ready to thaw and cook on the day I need it.
Use generics. From medications like Tylenol (acetaminophen) and benadryl (diphenhydramine), many are exactly the same as the brand name, and always a LOT cheaper. They work the same, and a lot of time they are made by the same company. The same goes for food. Many are just as good.
