I've stopped going to the store to buy more food when we already have too much in the cupboards and fridge. I now wait until I NEED to go to the store which is usually once a week for fresh fruit and veggies.
Something as simple as bringing your lunch to work really helps in cutting out unnecessary calories daily as well as saving you money. Fast food and quick take out meals tend to have a lot of calories in them and it is very easy to overindulge. Pack a well balanced meal...a sandwich and fruit, last night's leftovers, soup and a salad etc. I am sure you won't miss eating out daily after you see the pounds start to drop off.
