iPod Challenge

Go through your iPod (or MP3, or whatever you have) and delete any negative or depressing songs. THEN when you don't feel like doing any thing, listen to the songs you kept and feel motivated.

Be part of the whole world.

When I have wanted to eat just because I am bored at night, I remind myself that half the world doesn't have enough food. The guilt helps me to try to eat less and perhaps safe some for others.

One to grow on

Whenever you are counting your reps and you think you are finished, give yourself one more. I count this as "one to grow on" reminding myself that the extra rep is what will push that muscle a bit stronger.

Buffet Survival

When ever you go to a buffet fill up your first plate with only fruits and vegetables, lots of them. Then eat them slowly. After you are finished with the first plate, go for the second plate reminding yourself how well you did with the first plate.

Carrots (or other favorite vegetable)

Keep a bag of baby carrots in the very front of your refrigerator. Whenever you open the door (for any reason) you have to eat at least one. This will help you get your vegetables in for the day and keep your appetite curbed. If you don't like carrots or want a change, try other vegetables.

A Postive Snooze Button

One of the Emotion Eaters (Spark Team) goals is to start your day with a positive talk to yourself. What I do is set my snooze button for 5 minutes, but instead of rolling over an going back to sleep for those 5 minutes, I give myself a pep talk. Starting my day on the right foot is too important.

Live below your means

Try to live below your means. Live below your income. Don't tell anyone how much your make and let them believe you make less. Whatever the bank says you can afford, take a loan for 10-20% below that.
