I learned this from a Pastor at church and it really works. When you see something you really want to buy ask yourself if you just want it or if you actually need it. If you are just wanting it and not needing it then step away, leave the store and wait a day or two. If you still want it then go back and get it, if you don't, then you just saved yourself some money.
I pick one bad habit to break every week, I fast that bad habit and add on to it the next week. I am fasting soda this week, next week may be ice cream. Continue on until your habit is broken. You lose weight and change your eating habits at the same time. It takes 21 days to break a habit.
I had to work on my mind and reset it. Before I had the mind set that I needed to eat, I had to eat, I was obsessed with food and planned what I would eat the night before and where I would be stopping to eat. I gained alot of weight this way.
