Why pretend you will do something if you know you will not? Why not just face the facts and go on your merry way. Last month I decided that I was going to learn to cook Asian food. Who was I kidding? I hate to cook.....I might as well face it.....it's not going to change!
I have found a great way to satisfy my sweet tooth. Instead of taking traditional vitamns (I have a hard time swallowing big pills) I take two adult gummy-type vitamins daily and caramel flavored calcium chews. It's like a double whamny, vitamins and sweets at the same time.
We eat bananas regularly but sometimes one or two get overripe. I used to pitch them but now I stick them in the freezer. I have a recipe (no nut for the teen with allergies) for banana bread that calls for two bananas so when I get two in the freezer I pull them out on Saturday and make the teen banana bread.
I am a procrastinator. If I let myself, I would spark all day. In an attempt to limit my time on the computer, I start my day collecting spark points. Once that is done, I turn off the computer until I do the chores/activities that I really need to do, Then, when I log back on later in the day, I get to visit with friends, comment on blogs, and do whatever I want on the site gult-free.
We have a small family (mostly out of towners) so there are few presents under the tree. To fix that, I wrap empty boxes and decorate them with ribbons and bows or used decorative boxes. It makes 'under the tree' more festive.
I have been maintaining for three weeks and am doing fine. My secret is just commonsense. I am continuing to track my food and exercise and it has been working. When I cheat (am trying to keep it to a minimum) I just have to be careful for the next few days.
