vegetable substitute for pasta

I like spaghetti squash instead of pasta. It is easy to prepare and is yummy with a simple homemade tomato/herb sauce.

Dinner then lunch for the next day

Every time I make dinner, I make enough extra to fill two reusable containers (one for me & one for my husband) to reheat for lunch the next day. There's nothing like a tasty hot lunch instead of a boring sandwich.

Small Increments...

If you want to do 45 minutes on the treadmill, but it seems overwhelming, tell yourself that you will do 30 minutes or even 20 and then keep adding 5 minutes until you hit 45.

This works wonders for me.

Living Deliberately

I take time each day to sit quietly for a few minutes...10 at least, and practice gratitude for any positive conditions, successes, etc. in my life, so that I will not be forced into panic or depression by any perceived failures or shortfalls in moving toward my goals.

Truthful Tracking for Success

A tracker is not intended to be a representation of the perfect you. Sometimes we can get off track for this reason. The more truthful you are in your tracking, the more power you have to reach your goal. Even if you're afraid of the caloric content or flabbergasted at the amount of fat- write it down. It can be as simple as "Ate 1 piece of Aunt Sue's German Chocolate Cake" or "2 Pieces of candy from the jar at work."

Get to know the right mouse button.

By clicking links (mostly anything underlined) with the mouse button on the right and choose "open link in new tab" allows you to stay where you are and go to the link too. The new link will be open in another tab and you can click between tabs. (tabs are at top of your browser)

I like to right click on stuff (ie. blogs I want to comment on) and go back after I'm finished earning points. You can have many tabs open at once.

What to do with change at the end of the day

At the end of each day, I take all the change out of my coin purse and put it in a container. At the end of the month, I count how much is in the jar and put that amount in away in an envelope. This money then goes to pay for my yearly vacation. You would be surprised how fast it adds up when you do this every day!!!
