I buy 3 bags of baby spinach each week. I divide them into portions for salads,omelettes and addition to green smoothies immediately and put into zip lock bags. That way I don't have to measure. I just grab a bag and proceed with what I am making.
Every little bit of exercise helps right? I do ankle circles, scissor legs and walking place while I do Spark People on the computer. Sitting on the edge of your chair and doing the reps strengthens your core. I feel as though I accomplish more toward fitness.
To get in more water and stay cool during this weather I make a lemonade slushie with lemon juice or fresh lemon, ice and a little splenda. Blend well and pour into a tall glass with a straw. Its refreshing, less than 100 calories, sweet and more liquid for your daily intake..
Sit erect at the edge of your chair and begin with your feet about a foot apart. Hold your posture and circle outward with your feet 12-15 reps, then circle inward 12-15 reps. You can do one leg at a time alternating inward then outward until you get the rhythm. it can be done anytime and gets in more lower body exercise.
I love Snickers bars and last week I kept thinking I just had to have one. I've been doing well with not having much candy. I was grocery shopping and almost checked out when right there was "snickers". I brought one. I got home and put away my purchases including the Snickers. I went ahead and had my dinner. Each time I think to eat it I think of all of the other satisfying snacks and desserts I have on hand and select something else. Its been almost two weeks. Its still there.
