Down size your dinner plates..

You know how big dinner plates are getting now? Well I use our smaller plates to eat dinner, we also moved to smaller bowls not those huge bowls.... it has really helped...

Stay Positive even when hormones say no!

Some days it seems like my hormones are in a battle! I just start singing an upbeat song, or think of some thing funny! Anything to stay positive! Til finally my mean hormones give up!

A cleaner shower...

I use an old loofah sponge keep it in my shower and every other day while showering I clean my shower. Every time we get out of the shower, we wipe it down.

Or go into a restaurant and the hostess, waitress and costumers are all grouchy? Well, smile anyway.... I smile more when that is going on all around me.

Keep a journal and folder for your kids....

My daughter got real sick and missed quite a bit of school, then we had a few close deaths which ended with my daughter missing a lot of school. I kept a folder of every doctor excuse. Plus a journal of her daily activity at school, sometimes not much in it. but had it. It helped her with her At program for college....

count everything!

Make sure to count every little thing you put into your mouth. It makes a huge difference at the end of the day. gum, mints, gum drop, bite of daughter's cake... once I did that it helped keep my weight at bay.

take time out each day for you....

take time everyday just for you. In the morning, through the day, or right before bed.... just take a little quiet time. It is so important. Makes you feel much more refreshed and ready to take on the world.

Using smaller plates

I have found that if you use smaller plates you won't eat as much. I don't know what it is, but my body tells me I am full when I finish my plate.

Mix it up....

If you find yourself at a plateau like I did for several months... and I will say I was working out really hard... I figured out that if I mix up my workouts I started losing... I did Turbo Jam one day, Biggest Loser the next, Walk a Home the next, Tae Bo the next....this way you surprise your body.
