No time to exercise...make it a family affair! I am a mother of 7 children, and I don't always have time to get in a workout. So instead of skipping, I take the kids and off we go! Sometimes we explore a neat trail, or we make an adventure by going on a hike. Whatever we do, we not only are ALL getting in a good workout, but we're spending time together as a family! And I'm teaching my children good habits as well! It's a win all around!! :-)

During bathroom breaks I will do squats, calf raises, wall push ups, even wall sits..If I do this just 3-4 times each work day I feel better and more alert.

Just because you are overweight doesn't mean you can't run! I started out slowly last March and ran the Portland Marathon in October - still 60 pounds overweight! If I can, you can, too!

When I think I'm hungry, i.e. starving, I like to stop what I'm doing and have a big drink of water before I eat anything because I've found that I'm usually more thirsty than I am hungry.

Why do YOU want to lose weight? Pick an event in the future (2-3 months) in which you REALLY want to look good for. Now everytime you work out, think of that event and how good you'll look. Great motivation!

My usual craving times are at night. I have found that if I drink water instead of right away grabbing a snack, my cravings often go away. I "forget" to drink much throughout the day meaning my body is dehydrated and really not hungry after all.
