If I have a trigger food that usually I can't keep in my house without finishing off the whole box...for me mint ice cream bars...I hide them in the back of the freezer with everything piled on top so that I can't get to them without digging everything else out first!!
As soon as I get home after grocery shopping I divide everything into single serving portions and write the calorie count on the containers so that there is no guessing the rest of the week. (an added plus is that it saves time during the workweek too)
I have discovered the wonder of cinnamon supp. I first read about this little weight loss tool in Woman's World. I can say for myself that it really works!! I no longer crave sweets and I'm dropping about 2lbs a week, where it was 2lbs a month...I love these things!!!
I work overnights and have a really rough time because I work by myself for 8 hrs which leads to ALOT of snacking to keep awake. I have found the thing that helps me most is small hard candies...don't bite! It keeps you occupied without loading you with higher calorie chips or cookies.
Do you have a sweet tooth? Do you like to end every meal in desert? If you do there are lots of "alternatives" you can use to cut calories and fat. However, alot of times I've tried those sugar free/fat free foods and after finishing honestly wonder why I wasted the calories. For me the better alternative is to sit down with a small piece of my favorite indulgence and savor every bite, texture and taste...Make it worth the calories and you'll walk away satisfied.
Water, Water everywhere but not a drop to drink...don't know where this came from but I remember saying it when I was little. Anyway, what I want to talk about is the importance of water. It gives me energy, makes me feel fuller, clears my system etc. Basically I just feel better when I've had my 8.
