Making Water Yummier

When water starts to feel blah. . . I look beyond the usual lemon or lime wedge - try adding some watermelon chunks to your ice water or cucumber slices - it tastes special and helps me drink a LOT more water!

Small Bowl

When I have a craving for Ice-Cream I always buy light brands and use a small bowl so I don't over-due it.

Sleep Better After Massaging Earlobes

Become more relaxed and drift off to sleep easier by massaging your earlobes for 30 seconds. According to Chinese hospital studies, women who do this before bed experience less anxiety and fall asleep faster. The earlobes contain powerful qi(chi) points that activate energy centers throughout the body.

Water Intake

I find that if I just fill a glass and put in on my desk -- I drink it. Also when it empties .... I fill it again. If I put on refilling -- I find I don't drink as much.

Visualize, Visualize, Visualize

The more you repeat visualization of your slimmer self and the successful path to achieve it, the more new pathways formed in the brain. According to a book I'm reading, these new neural pathways become familiar with the goal and success is so much easier to achieve.

Spreading the Spark

I save the pages from my Spark motivational day at a glance calendar. When I need to make a note for someone in my office, I use the back of a page. Then when I pass along the note, I'm also passing along great info from SparkPeople.com and a quote or a tip for healthy living!

Make every day your first day

Pretend you're starting over every morning. Forget about the past and start fresh. This helps keep you motivated and gives you momentum. Every day is a clean slate and it is up to you to make it a healthy day. Remember how enthusiastic you were starting out?

snack secret

Eating sugar snap peas instead of chips or other high carb snacks has helped me stay on track to healthy eating. Using a scale and portion control has taught me to serve healthy portions not just serve.

easy-peel boiled eggs

When boiling eggs, add baking soda to the water and you will always have easy-peel shells!! The baking soda changes the Ph of the water, causing a chemical reaction in the egg, making the shells slide off easier!!
