When I know that we're going to be short on money, I purchase gift cards for places we frequent for recreation and/or gas, groceries, etc. That way if we want to do something later not in the budget we can use one of the gift cards for a specific amount and still have a good time!
I've come to realise that a small meal with a bit of extra fat content will keep me more full and satisfied than a large low-fat meal. I was having a lot of salads and stir-frys, but would soon get very hungry - until I added a little bit of extra fat to the meal!
Did you know yams aren't just for the holiday meals? We have switched to yams. They are so good natural sweet and better for you less in calories then regular potatoes higher in fiber. You can bake them, broil them, boil them put them on the Bar-B-Que. You make sweet potato fries they are so yummy What ever you do with a regular pottage you can do with a yam, and you'll love them more.. Just give them a try You'll like them I know you will.
Thanks to all who prayed for me because God was listening and today I am feeling much better. I can do as much for myself but I need God to hold me up so I can. My fight is not over so prays are needed. God bless everyone richly in his grace.
Getting enough sleep helps to lose weight. The definition of "enough" will be different for each person and their daily schedule, whether or not the schedule includes 9-5 work routine, retirement, third shift, second shift, etc. Finding a bedtime routine is helpful because completing a routine helps your body and mind to slow down and get ready for sleep. Mine is to get in bed half an hour before I want to fall asleep, and then read a book. I am usually asleep in less than 15 minutes!
