Ever baked something tasty, only to realize too late you forgot an important ingredient?
If you fill up the sink with hot soapy water when you start cooking/baking, then drop your used (and not to be REUSED) dirty items in it as you go (such as mixer beaters, mixing bowls, measuring cups, etc.) you will have counter space left to work and your dishes will be soaked and ready for a quick wash while your food is cooking/in the oven. By the time dinner is ready, your kitchen is tidy and there's no post-dinner mess to contend with!
When you're cleaning out any space, gather 3 large boxes to put items in.
Some items just have to "sit" before you clean. Save time by setting these all up @ the same time! Fill your kitchen sink with hot water + 1 c. chlorine bleach. Add toilet bowl cleaner to the toilet(s). Spray down the shower. Now you're free to do something else small, like sort a load of laundry or empty the trash. By the time you're done with 1 small chore (10-15 min), your sink, shower and toilet(s) are ready for a quick once-over to be sparkling! Just remember: chlorine & ammonia don't mix!
