A well stocked spice cabinet will add flavor to your meals without the calories. Think outside the box when using them. I like to add a pinch of Old Bay seafood spices to my scrambled eggs or sprinkle Zatar on my cottage cheese. I highly recomment Penzeys Spice Company. When I know I don't want to eat fruit but should, I put a small serving in a cup and don't allow myself to get up until it's finished. It helps me to feel full and better for the rest of the day, even if I didn't want it in the first place.
Eating lots of fruits and veggies has helped me control my appetite. Before, I rarely ate any freggies and I was always hungry. Now I eat lots of freggies and fill up more easily. It's also helped me learn the difference between "full" and "bloated."
So this is probably a no-brainer for most people, but for me it was a revelation yesterday. I went through four glasses of water with my supper simply by taking one bite of food and then one sip of water. I hate water, so this was a major deal! I'm also not used to drinking anything with my meal; I prefer to save it for the end. But I found not only did I get the water down, but it wasn't so bad since I knew I could have a bite of something tasty right after my one sip.
