Bus Challange

I take the bus. Sometimes I miss the bus. When that happens, I challenge myself to see how many stops I can walk between busses. {warning: best to only be done if you know the bus schedule}

Reaching the water goal

When trying to reach you water consumption goal, use this trick. Buy 1 water bottle per 8oz-10oz you are trying to consume in a day plus 3 extra bottles. If your goal is 8 cups a day (the recommended) than buy 11 bottles. Keep the 8 that is your goal in the fridge and number them. This way you can see that you are reaching your goal and at what rate. Bottles also are very convent so you are more likely to go for that than anything else you may grab for convince.

52 week Money saving Challange

I recently found this tip and am going to start trying it with 2 savings accounts I have. The way it works is you take the week number and add that $ amount to your savings account. I.E. week 1 {$1.00+$0.00=$1.00}. Week 2 {$2.00+$1.00=$3.00}. Week 3 {$3.00+$3.00=$6.00} and so on. Eventually getting to week 52 where you end up with $1378.00. The more you can save the more you can have.

Just dance.

Recently I figured out a great way to use SP and still get my exercise on. I put my computer on my dresser and play tunes. I dance during the fast songs and stretch during the slow. My dresser is the perfect height for me to still type/ use my mouse and dance. Pandora radio is a great site that allows you to create stations that play what you like. You can also search for free online work out music via google. Let's get up and get moving. Who says computer time has to be stationary? emoticon

Saving money/ losing weight

For someone who's goal is to eat out less, you could try this. Think about how much you would've spend if you would've gone out to eat (say you spend an average of $8 for lunch {8*5*4=160}) and put that money into a savings account. Act as though the money is gone and before you know it, you'll be eating out less, losing weight, and saving for something great (vacation, clothing, etc.). emoticon emoticon

Reaching the step goal

Invest in a pedometor. I find myself looking at mine several times a day, most of the time being excited and not believing how far I have walk. I always push myself to end the day with more steps then yesterday.
