If I'm sitting a lot (at computer, watching tv, etc), every time I need to get up for something I make a point to walk at least a certain # of steps: when the puppy goes out to potty, at least 100. If I'm getting a snack on a commercial break, 250. It really adds up!
I could use McCormick Steakhouse Seasoning in the grinder package on almost anything. It adds a little bit of zest and a whole lot of flavor. Instead of just steak, this goes on chicken, grilled veggies, rice, etc in my house. It's amazing on rice cooked in stock or broth!
If you're like me, you have trouble getting enough protein, but you love your carbs. Try switching out regular yogurt with the Greek kind. Fat free, still some good flavors, and usually double the protein of the regular stuff!
