POWER IN NUMBERS!!

I recently went on my FB and sent out a message looking for people to exercise with for five days a week after my work-out buddy and i developed conflicting schedules. To my surprise so many people were looking for the same thing. I find myself wanting to do even more so now I am exercising at home on my bike watching an hour long t.v. show first thing in the morning before I leave with a friend to where ever. Its great I'm able to be more motivated and its creating a lil club of our own!!

TRICK YOU HUNGER

I heard this the other day ---I have gotten into the habit of measuring food but instead of putting it all on 1 plate, I put it on individual saucers or bowls, its a mind trick that makes you think your getting a pile of food and in reality you are getting the right amounts.

MOTIVATION FROM OTHERS

I have recently started a group of friends to exercise with since not everyone has schedules that match up if you have a group of exercise partners then it doesn't effect you if they "call in" you always have a back up partner and more motivation . The more the merry right??

LOST 10 LBS WATCHING T.V.

I bought a stationary bike back in January and made a deal with myself. I got really into this t.v. series that had been out for long enough to be canceled and I bought the whole series. Each episode is 45 mins long ( no commercials) and I sit on that bike and watch my show every morning. Sometimes twice a day. Anyhow now I decided I will no longer watch t.v. at all without being on my bike even if its only 15 miles an hour I still have to be on it. emoticon

BONDING AND MODIVATION

My goal was to at least stick through it until I could get my husband to worry about his health, I knew as soon as he did that I would not be able to slip at all. We have such a great relationship that we will find any excuse to be around each other. He has become the best work-out partner yet!! Plus its really easy cause he lives with me and now we are finding all sorts of fun activities to do together, it's like going on a vacation all the time!! emoticon

fill fuller

i drink one 8 oz glass of water before I put any food in my mouth. Makes me fill fuller quicker and I notice I am not hungry after eating my small meals or snacks. I never get headaches anymore ( dehydration is the number one reason for headaches) and I don't get thirsty anymore either ( which is your bodies way of telling you are already dehydrated) Water is a huge help for many things!!

Obsession

I stopped using my scale... Seems in my head I always want it and expect it to be more weight loss then it is. I had to stop weighing in so often. Now instead I see my pants getting smaller and it keeps me from being so hard on myself or giving up when it's not what I wanted to see...

THE 1 INGREDIENT RULE

whats helped me a lot is using the 1 ingredient rule. I try to stay clear of anything in the grocery store that contains more then one ingredient... I make everything at home myself from scratch and freeze extras if necessary. This keeps me from putting a lot of preservatives and extra sugars and salt. Saves me so much time not having to read every label as I go through and my meals turn out bright and colorful!!

CHICKEN SOUP for the CRAVINGS (without the calories)

When I'm craving I grab a chicken Bouillon cube and heat up a hot mug of water. It's like having chicken soup without the noodles and chicken. It's filling, comforting, and satisfying. It is made by dehydrating vegetables, meat stock, a very small portion of fat, salt and seasonings. Plus you get that extra water in there!! emoticon
