Pick Up & Clean as-you-go

As you go about your day, take one minute and clean that spotty mirror or that splattered-on microwave. Also, did you just use a screwdriver or hammer; put that tool away right now!
I know it seems easier to drop it and get it later, but trust me, it's not! Due to my disabilities, I've had to work smarter, not harder.
The other part of this I learned from my crafting hobby; once you use something, put it away when you are finished. Seems simple and it is; we need to just do it! Trust me!

Exercise is a privilege

Whenever I don't feel like exercising, I remember what I read on someone's blog once , , "Exercise is a privilege." Consider yourself blessed that you are able to still walk, run, and exercise, when so many others cannot due to age, illness, or handicap. It really make you not want to abuse the privilege!

save those extra napkins!

Next time you go thru the fast food drive thru (for a salad of course - lol!) don't throw those extra napkins in the trash! Bring them in the house and use then. Plus, think of all the trees you will be saving!

Save Time

If I'm fixing dinner after church, I peel the potatoes and get them ready. I turn the burner on and start them to boil then turn off the burner and let the pan sit on the burner. When we get home they are done and not soggy.

Each day clean out your pockets and/or purse of change and put in a container. When full take to bank and add to your savings. You would be amazed how much you can save using this small, but mighty method of saving money.

Diet soda is no "diet' food

Beware of Diet Soda! I find that Diet Cola and other diet sodas give me the munchies. It's because of the artificial sweeteners (like aspartame) in them! Also, they tend to give you a bloated stomach and help you hang onto belly fat. Try eliminating them and you'll FEEL and LOOK so much better. I was drinking 5 cans of diet cola a day and now I am down to NONE. One little change - and I'm saving money too because diet soda is expensive and WATER is free!! emoticon

Sweet Potatoes

one sweet potatoes diced with a bit of nutmeg ground fresh on it with salt and pepper and coat lightly with virgin olive oil put in oven till tender but not mushy...little crust and oh yummy. I set the oven on 400 for about 25 min..i have a gas stove. emoticon
