Don't use the nutrition tracker just for tracking foods you ate. Use it to plan what you will eat--either daily or weekly. I like to plan the major parts of each meal for a week in advance and then fill in the other components a day or two before. You can use the "copy foods" button to copy a meal to another day, the daily report to print your menu for the day, and the grocery list button to print out a grocery list. The last two are at the bottom of the page.
When I make a big batch of soup or stew, instead of putting in a big tupperware in the fridge, I use the little containers and measure out each serving. That way I know the portion size and it usually stops me going back for second helpings.
To cut back on carbs in the summer, I use zucchini sliced the long way. Put in sandwich fillings like tuna or roast turkey slices, I just pick it up as if it was bread. I discovered that when i was told I was allergic to wheat. I used it as bread for sandwiches but it does reduce carbs too.
Maybe it sounds counter-intuitive, but when I'm feeling useless and depressed, I will make an effort to help someone else. Often it's on a message board here or a huddle. If someone posts "I need support", I will email them and tell them how important they are and how much they have already accomplished. I always feel better afterward.

Usually the only time I find I can control is before most human beings are awake and moving, so it's a great time to do my workouts. Plus there's no better feeling than hopping in a warm shower at 6:15 and knowing that my daily workout is already complete.
