Don't Just Track Food

Don't use the nutrition tracker just for tracking foods you ate. Use it to plan what you will eat--either daily or weekly. I like to plan the major parts of each meal for a week in advance and then fill in the other components a day or two before. You can use the "copy foods" button to copy a meal to another day, the daily report to print your menu for the day, and the grocery list button to print out a grocery list. The last two are at the bottom of the page.

Individual containers when batch cooking

When I make a big batch of soup or stew, instead of putting in a big tupperware in the fridge, I use the little containers and measure out each serving. That way I know the portion size and it usually stops me going back for second helpings.

Using Zucchini as a gluten free sandwich wrapper.

To cut back on carbs in the summer, I use zucchini sliced the long way. Put in sandwich fillings like tuna or roast turkey slices, I just pick it up as if it was bread. I discovered that when i was told I was allergic to wheat. I used it as bread for sandwiches but it does reduce carbs too.
Iceberg lettuce leaves or Bibb lettuce makes a great wrap too. Even for hamburgers ot hot dogs. emoticon

Slow Your Eating with Baby Utensils!

Have trouble eating too fast? Pick up a baby spoon (for things like ice cream, etc) and a baby fork! The same thing goes for chop sticks, but I find baby utensils easier!

Help another, help yourself

Maybe it sounds counter-intuitive, but when I'm feeling useless and depressed, I will make an effort to help someone else. Often it's on a message board here or a huddle. If someone posts "I need support", I will email them and tell them how important they are and how much they have already accomplished. I always feel better afterward.

Easier Measuring

Buy at least two sets of measuring spoons and cups. It makes cooking and eating easier, if you do not have to stop and clean it before using it.

No more body bashing!

Say NO to body bashing! Make it a point to never say bad things about other peoples bodies, even strangers and you will notice that you stop the inner monologue of body bashing about yourself!

If You are a Morning Person, Workout Early!

Usually the only time I find I can control is before most human beings are awake and moving, so it's a great time to do my workouts. Plus there's no better feeling than hopping in a warm shower at 6:15 and knowing that my daily workout is already complete.
