If you lose that little plastic that goes on the tip of your shoe lace and you're having a hard time getting it through the eyelet, use a small piece of scotch tape and wrap it tightly around the broken end twisting it as you wrap so it comes to a point, and you should have no trouble lacing up.
It seems when I'm rushing and late, and I'm looking for that certain shirt, skirt, WHATEVER, in my closet that's the time I can't find it. To make it easier to find organize by COLOR and you'll be surprise how much easier it is. Also, hang things you don't wear that often with the hook of the hanger FACING you, if you notice a year later that the hook is STILL facing you, get rid of it, if you haven't worn it in a year, you probably don't intend to
This is not really my secret but belongs to consumer advocate Clark Howard. He states you should NEVER spend any change even if it's a nickel, if something cost $1.05 you give the cashier $2.00 and at the end of the day, everyday, you put all your change in a jar. If you do this religiously, by the end of a year you should have around a thousand dollars. I told my sister and unbeknown to me she and her husband tried it and it came to around $1600, Now i'm doing it.
Whenever I eat out, I always ask for a nutrition guide so I can check the food that is least offensive to my goals. When it comes to eating out. too much SALT is a deal breaker for me. And even when using the info other members put in you have to double check, sometimes the info is wrong when compared with the label so it's worth the time to checkout the info BEFORE you import it and save it then what you saved and are using turns out to be incorrect....been there, done that!
When I need to add items to the food bank I don't always have time to do it right at the moment, so I keep a gallon size zip bag near my computer and put the empty food pouches, boxes (flatten first) wrappers, labels. bags etc in the gallon bag for Data entry later when i have time. I even do this in advance before using the product so the nutrition information is already in my food bank and i save time in the long run
Since i'm a teacher and usually have to bring home work, I try to put in everything I plan to eat that day in my nutrition section that morning before leaving.. It helps me to stay on track and I don't have to think about what I'm eating that day, plus it's much easier to remove something or add something than it is to put in a whole days worth of food, when I'm already tired and have to work on lesson plans
I find that when i login to sparkpeople during my lunch hour at work I will eat less, enter info at a time that is more convenient to me, and read more emails to collect points. It keeps me more conscious of what I'm doing during the week
