By signing up for different events such as a 5K, 10K, rides, walks, strolls, charities, or other fun events, I am able to keep my eye on the event. They help me stay focused and keep learning more and more about how to enjoy the events. ENJOY!!
Think about how much we enjoy our foods when we eat out. The cooks spend a few extra minutes just making the plate look like art! So, TREAT yourself to your own meal "out" by presenting your foods carefully. Add a sprig of parsley or basil leaf on tomatoes or a bit of fruit on top of your pancakes.
I started adding a quick summary of my TRi training at the bottom of all my blogs so that I had to "report" out consistently. And there have been a few days that knowing I had to do that made the difference between sitting back or stepping out!
I had to get creative after surgery on both of my feet. YOUTUBE to the rescue! In addition to videos for chair aerobics, I also use ZUMBA videos and follow along most of the arm movements. FUN and calories burned from the chair. Great work out.

I read an article today about patience. We are more patient when we are in control. So, I hang a knitting bag on my belt and knit while I am standing in a long line. The worst part? Having to stop knitting because it is your turn at the head of the line!
Do you drive home on a busy four lane road lined with fast food joints? Here is a tip for you. Stay in the LEFT LANE when going through this gauntlet of temptation. You will think TWICE before pulling into a fast food place. By the time you think it through, it is too late or not safe.
This might sound weird, but it works! If you work in an office setting that has individual bathrooms, sneak in a few extra exercise minutes throughout the day. Every time I visit the powder room, I sneak in 30 wall pushups. Since I've increased my water intake, this often means 90-120 pushups/day!
