emotional eating

As a recovering emotional eater I have found when I am stressed and am tempted to reach for the most unhealthy of options I make myself do 30 lunges before I can eat it... what I have discovered is after doin them I realize I didnt want it to begin with and it curbs my need to binge and I burn calories versus add them.

It takes several attempts for a life change to "stick"

I read somewhere that on average it takes 5 to 7 attempts to quit smoking or break a substance addiction before it "sticks". I think that making the choice to break unhealthy eating habits is no different. If you keep trying, you WILL find the approach that works best for you. Each attempt lays the groundwork for the next one. I don't think of it as failure, but practice.

Calorie Burner

You burn many more calories walking/running in inclement weather then on nice sunny days because it takes more energy to keep your core warm so don't let rain, snow or cold mornings deter you. Think of all the more calories you will be burning!
