Usually the only time I find I can control is before most human beings are awake and moving, so it's a great time to do my workouts. Plus there's no better feeling than hopping in a warm shower at 6:15 and knowing that my daily workout is already complete.
Ever have one too many cups of coffee and get the jitters? Try doing a quick set of 15 pushups. It helps channel all that extra nervous energy and then you're not so jumpy!

Going to a smorgasboard used to be a problem for me, i knew which foods would be best for my nutritional intake, but took too much. When I remembered to use the proper proportion of food groups to have on a plate, I did well!
If you did it today, you can do it tomorrow. If you didn't do it today, you can still do it tomorrow.
If you are working toward your goal, sometimes you have to change your action steps. Not all work the same for everyone.
