If You are a Morning Person, Workout Early!

Usually the only time I find I can control is before most human beings are awake and moving, so it's a great time to do my workouts. Plus there's no better feeling than hopping in a warm shower at 6:15 and knowing that my daily workout is already complete.

Curb coffee jitters with a quick set of pushups

Ever have one too many cups of coffee and get the jitters? Try doing a quick set of 15 pushups. It helps channel all that extra nervous energy and then you're not so jumpy!

Remember suggested proportion placement on plate!

Going to a smorgasboard used to be a problem for me, i knew which foods would be best for my nutritional intake, but took too much. When I remembered to use the proper proportion of food groups to have on a plate, I did well!

You can do it!

If you did it today, you can do it tomorrow. If you didn't do it today, you can still do it tomorrow.
If you are working toward your goal, sometimes you have to change your action steps. Not all work the same for everyone.
Keep on keeping on!

Wear clothes that fit

Don't wait until you lose the next ten pounds to either buy a few new things that fit, or get old things taken in. Wearing clothes that fit, and show off the NEW YOU really does make you feel better about yourself and all your accomplishments!!

Grateful? Let 'em know!

If you are happy, feeling grateful and you don't share it, that's like wrapping up a present and not giving it away.

Ground beef

I got this tip from Heloise months ago and never tried it until recently. When you buy ground meats, and separate them, push all the air from the ziplock bag and press the meat flat, like a sheet of paper, before closing. Not only does it save SO MUCH SPACE IN THE FREEZER, it literally thaws out within 30 minutes, so if you forget to lay it out in the morning to thaw, you can do it when you get in from work and it thaws while you shower or work out!

Teacher Tip

Being a teacher makes it very difficult for me to have the energy to exercise once i'm done with school. I have a pedometer in my pocket all day. Knowing I have the pedometer inspires me to walk around my classroom, and during my prep. I also invite teachers to go walk at the beach on friday's to celebrate the end of a working week.
