We all have our favorite T.V. shows, but we don't have to grow roots into the couch to enjoy the show! Get up and do something during the commercial. Pacing is good, or a small amount of aerobic exercising if you have the room.
Pay attention to the transaction when you check out at a store. While you can generally expect honest clerks in the store, that doesn't mean that there won't be problems. Many of them are directly caused by the computerized cash register system. Challenge any charge that doesn't look right to you.
Greek yogurt has a texture that makes it more like sour cream than yogurt. I like to eat the plain kind with fresh fruit cut up into it. Bananas are my current favorite, but fresh or frozen berries work well, too. Or cut up fresh peaches! Yum!
This is not a dig against cashiers. In this computerized aged, most cash registers have scanners. These little marvels can be inaccurate, They can also be mis-programmed. The sooner you can catch a mistake, the faster it can be corrected.
If you're in the supermarket at a certain time, you'll see little trays of sample foods in the store. Don't taste them unless you are willing to log what you ate and count the calories. Remember: Every Little Bite Counts!
If you are having a hard time getting started, remember this: you don't have to do it all, all at once! Just start by taking that first, hesitant, baby step. Then take another. Repeat until you reach your goal.
Most e-mail subscriptions come with a calendar to set up with appointments and birthdays/anniversaries. Put the due dates for all your bills on it with e-mail notifications enough in advance so that you take care of business on time.
