Whenever I cook a chicken I make stock from the leftovers. Once I've removed the fat from this I keep it in the fridge (or freeze it in flexible cupcake molds) and use it to stir fry vegetables with/add to sauces instead of oils... it really works. My current favourite use is a steak sauce made from mushrooms and onion fried with the stock, a teaspoon of balsamic vinegar, and a tablespoon of reduced fat greek yoghurt... it's great!
When making stews, curry meat and soups, stir in a Frozen 10 ounce Block of Cooked Squash for unusual delicious taste, and fiber. It blends right in to beef, turkey, lamb, pork, and chicken Stews, Tomato based anything, Curries, and Soups. What a delicious difference for hardly any calories!
I no longer can use the excuse of bad weather for not going on my 30 minute daily walk. Leslie's walk dvd's are perfect for beginners to advanced walkers. You can choose how many miles to walk whether you want a quick 1 mile 15 minute workout or the full 5 miles, which is great for a Saturday or Sunday morning routine!
