Put money back when you reach a goal: $1 per mile walked, a penny per sparkpoint earned, $10 per pound lost, ect. Use the money to reward yourself for all your hard work! It was suggested in a sparkpeople forum and has been the best thing ever for motivation for me!
My secret to success is PEP
I decided to try to get rid of all the processed foods in my diet. In two days I lost two pounds. I thought it would be hard but it is not. You can eat all the meat you want, any vegetables and fruits. For snacks I have sunflower seeds, dried cherries or popcorn, or I made homemade energy bars with natural peanut butter. i still have my coffee in the morning but it is working great and I am never hungry. Many articles say it is the best non diet ever.
1/4 a pound loss after working hard all week does not sound like a lot. BUT take a stick of butter and put it under your chin. WOW! a quater of a pound makes a big difference. Celebrate every loss not matter how big OR small!
