Ice Cube Smoothies

When I make a smoothie, I always end up making more than enough. So I get the extra smoothie and put it in ice cube trays then freeze it. Later, when I'm ready for a smoothie, I just throw those cubes into the blender to make it quick and easy.

Inspiration and Motivation

I keep a notebook filled with inspirational quotes beside my computer. I read one every morning, but when I'm feeling especially down, I add more to the quotes.

Deck of Cards

Sometimes, it's hard to remember portions. So I taped a box from a deck of cards next to my stove. After all, a serving of meat is supposed to be the size of a deck of cards. That way I always know that I'm eating the right portion.

Preparation

Because I'm not cooking for a family, it's easy for me to just get take out every night. Instead, I buy lots of healthy meat when it is on sale. I then package it in individual proportions, some of it sliced, some of it cubed, and others as a half breast. Then, when I leave for class in the morning, I just throw one package in the fridge and when I get home it is defrosted and ready to be cooked however I see fit.
