NO Excuse

My secret is go to bed early and get up around 4:00 or 5:00 AM and do some exercise either at home or at the gym at least 3-4 days a week. Save TV watching for the weekends. You won't have to worry about it when you get home and you'll feel better throughout the day too

Stick to it

Dedicate a specific time EACH DAY to exercise and stick to it. For me, that time is 5:30am because I procrastinate too much to wait for after work.

Do It For You

If you recognize your goal to lose weight and get fit as something you do for yourself, and not others, the changing tides of emotion will have less impact on your efforts.

My secret motivator when I'm tempted to overeat

I discovered this secret recently while setting up for strength training. I use 2 8-lb dumbbells and 2 5-lb dumbbells -- just about the amt of weight I've lost so far.

Well, one morning, I carried all 4 dumbbells in my arms and could barely move. I realized this was what it had been like for me just 10 months ago. I was winded and moving very slowly.

SO...when I'm tempted, I remind myself of where I've been and carry my dumbbells around the house. THAT takes my mind off of the food!

Butter

I just wanted to give everyone some extra motivation. I started 2 weeks ago (6-6) and I lost 11 pounds. Now you may say that is not that much but that is 11 boxes of butter or 44 sticks of butter!! How NASTY!!
I weigh 228 pounds and I have 63 more pounds left. That is 63 boxes of butter or 252 sticks of butter!!
Can you imagine sticking 252 sticks of butter in your clothes and walking around like that.
So my motivation .......... Think of all those sticks of butter!!

Type at ya later,
Teresa

Cleaning Hard To Scrub Pans

I have found that if you place a dryer sheet in the pan you are soaking, the majority of the mess is loosened and soaked off by the time you go back to clean. Making it easier to clean the pan.

Plan ahead!!

I have learned to prepare for the next day before I go to bed. I pack my lunch and healthy snacks so I don't have to mess with it in the morning. I have noticed if I have a healthy lunch packed, I won't go out to a fast food restaurant for lunch.

Keep Going

Persistence is key. No matter how bad things look, or how bad you feel, keep trying and putting forth the effort. You'll never regret trying to get things done, or actually getting them done. You would, however, regret not doing the best that you could to finish things.
