Fuel

"Food is fuel"...any time I reach for that bag of chips, I say this to myself. Then I think, is this the kind of fuel I REALLY want to put in my body. It helps me to make better choices of what I am eating.

Getting in extra exercise

When I am watching TV, I do some sort of exercise in the commercials; walk in place, bicep curls, squats. This gets me a little extra in at the end of my day, and I don't feel guilty about watching TV instead of exercising...I can do both!

Exercise anytime

Getting in a little extra - while heating up my lunch at work, I'll do leg abductions or adductions; when brushing my teeth, same thing. Also, I sit at a desk, so butt crunches, stand and do push ups off my desk, anything to keep the blood flowing and get that little extra in.

Mental

I realized that I am not here JUST to lose weight, but to be a healthier (and better) person! This change takes mental strength, much more than the physical aspect (working out). Without the mental strength, the motivation will fade.
