First thing in the morning and all throughout the day, wear your running shoes in the house. Somehow, it makes you feel like you should be getting up and moving and doing something, whether it is cleaning or exercising. Its easy to stay on the couch in your fuzzy wuzzy bunny slippers, but when you have running shoes on, it doesn't seem right to put your feet up in them!
Too many times people cut down their stretching time after a workout to little or nothing. It pays to do it right. I do each stretch on a long 15-30 sec hold on every limb. Repeat twice. Most DVD's go way too fast and change their positions too quickly. I do my own stretches on my own time. Shortchanging your stretching is hurting your body. I feel really good stretching out properly and my body thanks me afterward with no soreness or stiffness.
I work out hard in the morning. I usually have lots I need to get done in a day so I need to seriously fuel up to get me through it and to recover my spent energy from my heavy workouts.. My breakfast is my highest calorie meal of the day. It can get as high as 900 calories!! It includes all the nutrients, carbohydrates, protein and fat. I usually have 3-4 servings of fruit. After this breakfast, I feel no need to snack what so ever. Light veggie lunch, egg white supper.
Kashi GoLean Crunch is a great granola like cereal. In just one cup its packs in 10g protein, 9g fibre and has seven whole grains in it. Its a little high calorie at 230, and has 40g of carbs, but is a nice alternative to meat, eggs or cheese. It has whole oats, long grain brown rice, rye, hard red winter wheat, triticale, buckwheat, barley and sesame seeds! It does have 15g sugar. and 25% of your folate needs. Lots of great nutrients!
I have a large and active Spark friends list and a slow connection -bad combo. So I handle my huge friend feed lists this way. First I read all my Spark articles e-mails, earning my points for each one, which gives me six new windows, I click on friend feed on each window, and then go back to the first, click all my likes and comments, then click on blogs on each feed, reading and commenting on one while the others are still loading.
Get your exercise in during every day living, no excuses, no gym needed. Do the hustle!! RUSH to everything you do. RUN to the biffy like you are afraid you won't make it!! Make several trips up and down the stairs fast to carry small loads of laundry each time instead of a big one. When tracking food, weigh one item, the rush to your computer to record it, then rush back to record another one, take many trips.. Don't walk when you can run!! Take the LONG way around!!
Using an internet site, all kinds of things can happen to a posting you are trying to make. It can simply disappear, going into to a white screen saying unable to post! Don't panic. Simply right click your mouse button on the white screen and the drop down menu will have a link called back. Click on back and there is your blog, ready to try posting again! But the best prevention is writing it on your word program, than transferring it to the blog when finished.
This is an odorless, colorless insecticide. I noticed ants coming into my apartment in my bathroom and at the entrance. I discovered they were coming out of a hole at the base of my toilet, so I gave it a spray there and around my entrance, and all I have seen are dead ants by that hole and no live ones anywhere. I use the spray around any place bugs can come in, around the base boards, window sills, etc. I get no spiders or anything surviving. Bug free!
What ever chore you hate to do and just dread, do it first! Get it out of the way before you just procrastinate and keep pushing it back and dreading it more! This way its done and you don't have to think about it any more! Get up first thing in the morning and JUST DO IT!
Thin, light weight, compact. Not a clip on. Simple counting steps, tracks time, and you can set stride length. Fits anywhere (in pockets), doesn't have to be vertical. I put it in my workout bra and don't notice its there. Far better then losing it off my shorts as I have done many a time.
