in the car

leaving work was often a rough spot for me... kids are gone..so I was stopping for fast food on the way home... I now keep a box of special K chips, or pita chips in the car with a bottle of water so on the way home.. I have an afternoon snack on the way home... I never even think of stopping or failing at the dinner choices

Restaurant websites...

If you are going out to dinner... either pick the restaurant based on what you select after going to their nutrition page on their website (a surprising number of restaurants post this!) or find out where you are going and look it up. I was shocked to find out that so many "meals" at a popular restaurant totaled 2400+ calories and 80-120 fat grams... Wow! it would be sad to check after coming home or not check at all!

Making more use of the nutrition tracker

In addition to logging food in my food tracker.. I have added the suggestion that MIMAWELIZABETH made about adding notes to the favorites. I have made a food option for the hours of the day. starting with a.m. or p.m. so they stay together in my favorites. i.e., (a.m. 8:00) I am going to begin to log the time I eat my meals so I can determine if there are any patterns.
