I will organize my shopping list according to the isles I see first up to the last isle. It makes shopping a lot quicker and you're not wasting time going up & down isles you don't need. It also keeps you focused on only the foods you went there for and prevents you from over spending,
To get myself motivated and have fun cleaning my house I put dancing music on and as i'm cleaning I'm shaking my bootie and stretching and bending without it feeling like a workout and it makes the cleaning go faster and much more fun.
Before going to bed I make a list of everything I want or need to do the next day. I then check it off as i'm done doing it. This way you don't forget anything and don't put it off.
To satisfy my craving for sweets and chocolate and get the fiber I need, I have one Fiber One Chewy bar (my favorite is the oats & chocolate) as my snack at night with 1 cup of fat-free milk and i'm good for the night.
Dim lights when you sit down to eat. This makes a calmer atmosphere. Eat slowly, enjoy your food and you won't be as hungry. No bright lights or TV's on, maybe some light music or just talk. Candles are great too.
Bring a vegetable tray with fat free ranch dressing and a bowl of fresh cut-up fruit to pick on. It will keep you away from picking on salty, fatty snacks or more other foods. the kids will love it too.
I make separate piles for darks, colors & whites on top of my washer or a table and as soon as I have enough for a load I put them in the washer. I'll put a load in right b4 I go to sleep and then dry them in the a.m. or put them in b4 leaving to store/work and finish drying when I return.
I put all the things I need to do either on a daily, weekly, monthly or yearly basis on my online calendar. Everything from shopping, chores, taking meds.... and set the alert to remind me when I sign on the computer in the morning. Just delete when its done. As things come up add them.
Keep an ongoing list on your computer or by hand of items you need to buy from all stores (supermarket, home depot, staples...) First colume is only food items, 2nd colume for everything else. Delete that item when you have purchased it.
I've found that since I was always craving food at night that I decided to change my foods around so that I eat a bigger dinner and little later then usual and save a light snack for about an hour before bedtime. This way I have no more cravings late at night.
