I poach batches of skinless boneless chicken to add to pasta dishes, salads or sandwiches. You can add spices to the liquid to make it tasty. You can also poach fish. Poaching is simmering in water...look up recipies online. It eliminates the need to add oil when cooking meat.
Use a HR monitor to make sure you keep your HR in the right range. This can help you exercise longer if you tend to work out too hard, or exercise harder if you have difficulty pushing yourself. It's fun to see yourself be able to do the same things at a lower HR over time and see improvement
Plan out several days of meals. Make a healthy menu ahead of time and count up the calories so you're not tempted to add butter, go out to dinner, add an extra glass of wine, etc. the mental energy of knowing what to eat is taken care of, all you have to do is eat!
