Keep moving

I treat my computer as if it was my TV so about every ten minutes (when there are usually about 3 minutes of commercials) I get up and do 3 minutes of cardio. Anything works -knee ups, jacks, marching, grapevines, etc. It keeps my metabolism up

Motivation on the Closet Door!

I had several pairs of cute capris, a couple of tops and a couple of skirts that I had ordered over the years and then decided they were too tight. I hung them all on my closet door to create a sort of three dimensional Motivation Collage. Every time I opened that door I saw those items there and couldn't wait to fit into them. The door is gradually emptying as I lose inches and add to my wardrobe!

Keep it together

I keep menu's, recipes and even pictures of exercises I have cut from magazines ( and glued onto note book paper) in a 3 ring binder.

Getting in your water while on vacation

When going on vacation my family noticed that our water intake would decrease or our vacation budget would with having to buy bottles of water. So now we take our Brita water filter pitcher and reusable water bottles with us so we can get enough water and have more money to spend on other things.

Cleaning House.

For me, when a major job of organizing seems overwhelming and time consuming, I just do a litle each day until it is complete. No pressure, no stress. By the end of the week, the job is complete and I'm not exhausted.

The Value of a Work Out

Whenever I give up a gym work out to laziness, the sacrifice becomes the price of whatever replaces it. So, if I am sitting at home on the couch, I ask myself, "is this truly worth the workout I gave up?" Usually not- which gets me off the couch and on to more productive things.
