Make sure you eat something light before you go and make a list of things you need! That way you won't buy something that looks good but is not good for you! I always have my fruits and veggies first because that's how I walk the store perimeter first!
I drink water 30 minutes before a meal and I have noticed that I eat less!
I've been listening to Kelly Howell's meditation CD..I listen every night...she teaches belly breathing..I went out to do my walk today and I began to notice I was breathing from my belly..I did so much more..no dizziness..no stopping to catch my breath..I was able to walk and talk!!!!
My son was going out for the night and I saw he had lint on his pants..I do not have a brush so i went and got Lysol disinfectant double sided wipes...I took the rough side and went over the pants and the Lint was gone!!!
I was going through the closet and putting away winter clothes and took out summer clothes...I thought ..they look small...then I put them up against my body and I had an inch on either side where the shirt did not fit...I am keeping that shirt out and using it as my main motivator
I now keep a bow of fruit on the dinner table..apples, oranges and banana's. In the fridge there are grapes and watermelon. We have worked really hard getting our fruit in..well... because I have an awful sweet tooth!!
Make a mini list of things to do. Small things that take maybe 3 minutes...When you are watching tv and a commercial comes on get up... get that list get out of that room and do something on it. Commercials are sure fire ways to kick up a craving even when you are not hungry!! Beat the crave!
I make my salad on Sunday. I put everything in a big bowl and then put a paper towel on top. This helps the salad from going bad too soon as it soaks in some liquid. The great thing about this is when I want a salad it's always ready and all I have to do is put a low cal dressing on it!
I had a shirt to wear last week it was wrinkled and I hate to iron.. I remembered those TV ads about some spray that helps wrinkles go away. I went to my bathroom got out the hairspray and sprayed it lightly on the shirt and then stretched it for a second or two back and front and Bamn! No Ironing!
I walk outdoors not on my treadmill. Outside I walk to a point turn around and walk back no matter how my knees feel! I take an inventory of everything around me to block the pain and keep going. I see the beauty of the sky, sun, trees, birds, people's perfectly mowed lawns. Mind over matter works!
