You can eat whatever you'd like, just be sure to watch the portion size and to only eat it once in awhile. It is not good to make a daily habit of treats. A good example, birthday cake, cut your piece in half or quarters and either shar or freeze for another month or two weeks.
While on my journey, I have to have faith, time and patience which are the three best doctors. God may not provide us with a perfectly ordered life, but what He does provide is HImself, His presence, and open doors that bring us closer to being productive, positive and realistic.
I used to do my shopping half by list, half by whatever struck me. I find that if I take the time to make a proper list and stick to it, I can be far more organized with our food. I plan ahead for meals & snacks which saves me from those kitchen raids.
Every once in awhile my brain dysfunctions, and I get confused about measuring my food for portion control. I know that 2 cups = 16 ounces or 1 pound, and almost tried to weigh 1 pound of lettuce! lol My math was correct, but 16 ounces can be either volume or weight. Cups measure volume.
Keep a running tally on your fridge of the unhealthy foods you said NO to during the day. At the end of the day, calculate how many calories you DIDN'T eat! Pat yourself on the back for a job well done!
If you are really on a budget try this just put away a dollar a week.
