When you brown sugar hardens, don't throw it out. Instead, put the brown sugar inside an air tight container. Take a single slice of fresh bread and lay it on top of the brown sugar. Seal the container with a tight fitting lid. Let it stand overnight and you will have sugar that is as soft as the first day you bought it from the grocery store!! Discard the bread and enjoy your "fresh" brown sugar.
To prevent your new CD's and DVD's from getting scratched......turn them upside down inside the case. When you put back inside it's encasement....you slide it around to find the center...this results in dust particles scratching the sensitive disk..so turn it over before putting it back in the case and when you slide it to align the hole..it won't scratch it. Saves you alot of money in replacing them and the headache of trying to repair them with those expensive little scratch removing gadgets
Grapes are a natural sweet treat....so when you have the urge to munch on sweets that are not good for you...grab a handful of grapes. Having a frozen snack attack??? Got that covered too....freeze some grapes in a plastic freezer bag to retain freshness...when you desire frozen sweets....grab them magical grapes!!!!!
Do you save old used toothbrushes to clean? I have used them for years and go thru way too many (faster than the family used/replaced them) the brushes fray out when used to scrub baseboards or hard to reach grooves...solution???? Buy a cheap battery operated rotating tooth brush...you don't have to scrub as hard and the brushes get into those hard to reach areas without breaking down so fast. And the best part...it cuts down the work time in half!!!
If you have a pet that gets sick on the floor or has a oops moment....clean up the excess and use vinegar and warm water to remove the odor. If the the pet urinates on carpet...had 4 TBS to a cup of hot/warm water and pour directly on the spot...put a white rag over it and press it down to absorb excess water and urine up.
