Buy regular carrots instead of baby carrots

Do you know that baby carrots are actually peeled and cut up regular size carrots? And it's much cheaper to get good ol' bulk carrots and chop them up in sticks yourself? Plus, they stay fresh longer.

Like Yourself... Better Yet, Love Yourself

When I read blogs and profiles, it really bothers me when people says such horrible things about themselves. STOP IT! Never say anything to yourself that you wouldn't say to a friend. Even if I still weighed 268 or if I gained another 200 pounds, I would still be a good person.

A Postive Snooze Button

One of the Emotion Eaters (Spark Team) goals is to start your day with a positive talk to yourself. What I do is set my snooze button for 5 minutes, but instead of rolling over an going back to sleep for those 5 minutes, I give myself a pep talk. Starting my day on the right foot is too important.

Health Plan - not DIET!

I have decided that I fail at diets, so I am going to think of this as a Health Plan that will increase my energy, my life span, how I feel overall and the it just happens to have a side effect of weight loss. That way I am not measuring my success by the scale, but by my health improvement.
