Picture your weight loss in terms of something you can identify with. I use 16-pound bowling balls so when I lose 4 pounds I can envision one-fourth of a ball gone. Use five-pound bags of sugar, 20-pound boxes of kitty litter or other item you are familiar with. Keeping this image in mind will help you better "see" your weight loss.
Rather than becoming discouraged at needing to lose a large amount of weight, simply aim to lose one pound. We all can do that. When you do, celebrate your success then shoot for just one more pound. Every pound lost builds confidence and is an easier target to achieve quickly than losing 20 or 50 or 100 pounds.
I see the positive side of all circumstances and situations. Being positive won't prevent problems from occurring but will lessen their effect on us. Always believe in yourself and trust that things WILL work out for the better.
