tracking tracking tracking!!!!!

The only thing I have been successful in the last few months (year) is basically maintenance. When I track, even if it is just food, I lose. My goal this year isn't so much losing (although it would be sweet if I won my friends fitness challenge) it is to track every day!

Look at how far you have come, not how far you have left

for example. Sometimes when I am on the treadmill and say the time is for 30 min, and by min 17 I am just over it, I remind myself, I have already done 17min, the other 13 can't be soo bad.

Freeze your Banana's

I just found this new trick (if someone already posted this sorry) I was at the store and they had the bags of discounted banana's (some of them were still GREEN!!!) they were 1/2!! the price per lb, as the other ones. Positive Thinking, Positive Attitude, Positive LIFE!!

I have a posterboard right above my computer desk full of Positive Reinforcement. I got some "scrapbooking" stickers and one of my favorite pictures of me. The main three lines are " Positive Thinking, Positive Attitude, Positive LIFE"

Getting All Your Water In

I find that if I use a straw I drink a LOT more water. Maybe its part of the mindless action, but it WORKS

park on the other side of the store, walk the long way around store

I like to try to add more steps by walking on the opposite side of the store I need to get something (or mall) then take the LONG way around. (this works best when its one of the "Super" Stores or "Club" type store

when craving something sweet , I brush my teeth

the new wisps are great they are very andy, who wants to eat right after brushing your teeth, and the flavor's of the toothpaste get that "sweet" craving gone

Grocery Shopping

Buying store brand (I use Great Value brand and it is sometimes BETTER than the "name brand")and only enough fresh veggies that you will actually use (for instance I KNOW I will use @ least 1 each red, yellow, orange pepper, as well as 2 onions every week.)

Fresh Veggies (fillers)

I like to buy fresh peppers(I prefer red, yellow & orange ones), onions, mushrooms,squash & zuccini slice them into about 1/4-1/2 inch slices put 2 cups in a ziploc, bag & put that in the crisper, usally gives me 4 servings can grab &go (I prefer to stir fry them add them to sandwich,raw or omlette
