Attitude of Gratitude

My Huddle each day is something I'm grateful for. Ever since the New Zealand & Japan quakes I'm more aware than ever of all the blessings in my life!

Don't wait!

After a slip up, get back on track immediately! Do not wait until tomorrow! Did you consume too much fat in a meal or snack? Then eat light portions of low-fat foods for the rest of the day and drink lots of water!

Don't be scared to try something new!!!

I put off going to Zumba for about 6 months because I was nervous about going alone. Yesterday I just said to heck with it, and I went for the first time. After the AWESOME time I had, I vowed to make this a regular cardio activity. Don't be nervous to try new things. That new thing might be something you absolutely love.

Chocolate Milk after exercise

Drink chocolate milk after exercise! It helps reduced muscle inflammation! I make mine using cocoa, sugar, and low fat milk.so it is less than 140 calories per glass!

Everything is permissable but not everything is beneficial ....

From the book Made to Crave. Think about this in terms of the choices you're making. You shouldn't have things be off limits so they become a forbidden food (which is sometimes all you can then think about) but think about it in a way of how it actually benefits you before you eat it.

YOU HAVE YOUR OWN PATH TO FOLLOW

We are the best we can be when we see the path we choose clearly and let nothing cause us to stray from that path. Yes, on occasion get lost and find our way back, or even take the scenic route but end up back on the path we set to travel all along. If we are honest we know that the only person you can count on to do the right thing, is you and you alone! That is the amazing part...You get to choose....You get to decide...You get to follow your own path..At the end you get to reap the reward!

Mantra

When having a craving, I remind myself that nothing tastes as good as weight loss feels...and then I go for a walk in the fresh air. Being outside in the sunshine away from temptation helps.

Switch up your exercise routine

When I hit a plateau, I switched up my exercise routine, by doing cardio after weight training. (I did do a warm up prior to weight training.) Also key for me was staying calm about it and accepting it as part of the process.

More protein and raw veggies

I added more protein, especially for breakfast, in my diet as well as raw veggies like celery and cucumbers - they help fill me up so I don't over eat.
