Ignore the feelings

Feelings are deceptive and completely subjective to the moment. Acknowledge how you feel - but don't let it rule your life. Re-focusing on the truth rather than the feeling can help keep your perspective on track.

Saving Warranty Receipts

Since most receipts are printed on thermal paper (and the ink will dissipate over time), we scan our important receipts into the computer and save it as a .pdf document right away. Then, if we need to use the warranty, we can produce a legible copy along with the original receipt that was stapled into the owner's manual.

When asked a question you don't want to answer...

Simply smile and reply, "Why do you want to know?" This is usually enough to diffuse the curious person. If they still persist, just smile with "I'd rather not say" and quickly change the subject.

Exercise Clothes

To motivate myself to exercise right away each day, I've started putting my workout clothes on first thing each morning. Now I don't have the excuse to "change clothes" to get started!

Weekly Meal Plans

I try to make a meal plan for every week. I choose 1 cook book and sit down with my coupons and the grocery sale ad. This way I can make the most of our dollars, and plan the healthiest meals at the same time. I just mix up what's on sale with my coupons with the recipes. Easy and quick!

Greek Yogurt

I tried some with a coupon and fell head-over-heels! If you have a weakness for sour cream this is the swap you've been craving. Greek yogurt is thick, rich and a bit tart. Add a dollop to your wrap and it's yummy. It's also great mixed with fruit. emoticon
