I need to be on crutches for 1 wk and in a knee brace for 2. Instead of giving up, I decided to find the +'s: great upper body workout, I can still go to Curves, just modify the workout, can still box on Wii, but need to be seated. Find a positive in each situation & let it be your motivator!
Instead of buying a head of lettuce and bunch of spinach that will go bad before one or two people can use them up - I buy a little of each off the salad bar (3-4 days worth of greens for my sandwiches for just a few cents)!

When eating ANYTHING, take smaller bites. Make each bite just large enough to "taste" the food and chew. You will get more enjoyment out of what you are eating and your meal will last longer which will allow your body to signal that you are full and help to prevent you from eating as much.
Puffy, red, and hot skin? a few quick tips to turn it down:
-Cucumber juice has lots of water and is great for those pores!(just squeeze one at home)
-Dry an orange peel and grind it until powderish, mix with some Milk (make it just like a paste) cover dark areas.
Sometimes when I have a bad eating day, it's tempting to just not log it. Why bother? I know that I went over my goals! But I have found that logging the bad stuff helps me to get it off my chest, and then I can move forward and get back on that wagon that much quicker.
For every mile I put $.50 in a can.
Have not decided what I will do with it. But I'm sure it will be fun.
