Steel studded running shoes

Trouble running in winter with ice and snow? Take steel screws and affix to the soles of your running shoes. Be sure they are long enough to stay in, but short enough so they do not go through the inner sole. You'll be sure footed and ready to run in any conditions.

deer repellent

Deer do not like strong scents - hang inexpensive car air freshner trees near tender plants to keep the deer away. Added bonus your yard smells lovely.

Eat the thing you crave

I've found that buying fresh vegetables from the grocery store salad bar saves time, money and waste, with the added benefit of boosting my daily fruit and vegetable intake. I fill a container with fresh cut and ready to go items and use these all week for omelets and other dishes.
