I find that I look to food for comfort and satisfaction. However, when I eat, I do it very fast and don't even think about what I am doing. Recently, I have been slowing down and enjoying everything I eat - every bite. I find satisfaction and I end up eating less.
I try to balance my day between eating right, working, exercising, doing home chores, shopping, alone time and social time. All of these things go either on a list or my calendar (definitely my workouts). I have found that planning is the key to everything, not JUST eating well.
I keep an extra pair of shoes and socks in the trunk of my car so I can throw them on and get some walking in sometimes like if I find I have a little extra time, or see a trail or park that looks inviting, or for any other time when I might be able to take a short quick walk. Great way to get in some more exercise, whether it's 10 minutes or half an hour.

When you wake up in the morning you have an immediate choice on how your day will start. It doesn't matter if the weather is bad and you had a long night. You get to decide your day! Take the first 10 minutes and pray or meditate on all the wonderful things that have been given to you and all the things to come! It will start you in the right direction.
Be honest with yourself about what you eat. The only person you are hurting by not be honest as well as accurate, is yourself. You may go over your calories for that day, but at least you'll know where the problem was, what it was, and you'll be better prepared for the next time. Don't hinder your own success because of inaccuracy.
When making lasagna you do NOT have to boil the noodles first. And you do not have to use the special no boil noodles. I've used white and whole wheat pasta. Both work just fine. All you have to do is layer like normal. Cuts down on prep and clean up time.
