Veggies for Breakfast

Try eating some steamed veggies for breakfast. I find that raw are too hard on my stomach first thing in the morning. Some steamed (from frozen) veggies with breakfast are satisfying and a great way to eat more veggies.

You Cannot Take It with You

When my sister died, everything she owned got thrown out or donated. It made me look at all my "stuff" in a new way. So now, I don't buy anything unless I truly need it. I wear out my clothes before buying anything new, if even then.

Snack Bowl

To keep yourself from snacking on the wrong snacks:
#1. Stop buying them in your groceries!
#2. Get a big bowl and only place in 100 calorie snacks inside. Whenever you need a snack only take snacks from this bowl!

Using Coconut Milk

Many Curries call for the use of Coconut Milk.If the Litevariety is used by itself it makes the Curry thin and watery .Add a0.5 tbsp.of Rice flour to a can of Milk--whip for 30 seconds in a blender.Pour into the Curry and cook covered on low flame.The Curry gets a thicker texture and body this way.

When you're sleeping, you're not eating!

I've noticed that the times I eat the most are the times I sleep the least, especially when I'm up all night and no one is around to see me or keep me accountable. Getting to sleep on time means you aren't awake to get those cravings for inappropriate snacks, and keeps your calorie count lower!

The smallest step still goes forward

Little steps will take you far. The littlest step I took in the beginning was to ask myself daily, "What have I done today to make me feel proud?" I don't have to ask that any more, everything I do makes me proud!
