If I keep my program simple, it works best. From simple healthy food, to moderate exercise, to some meditation and enough time for self-care, simplicity helps me stay on track.
When I try to "love my mistakes" and imperfect me, I recover from them often much faster than if I dwell in them. Acceptance of my imperfections and being grateful for what I'm learning is the key for me. I've learned I need to treat myself well to keep my motivation flowing.
Writing down what I eat gives me accountability. That way I can also check what I've eaten from the food groups, the calories I've eaten and what I have left to eat. It helps me a lot to do this.
