You've got to Accentuate the positive....

Eliminate the negative
And latch on to the affirmative
Don't mess with Mister In-Between

Stayed focused on the positives on your journey. Just because you hit a plateau or a rut doesn't mean you can't get out of it. Don't focus on the negative aspect of it but look at it as a time to reflect and adjust so you can get back on track even stronger than before. Eliminate the negative influences in your life & you will likely discover the truly happy person you are!! emoticon

Be prepared!!

Pre-plan your meals for the ENTIRE week, including the weekend. This way you don't get caught in the all too familiar "I didn't take anything out, how about you just take me to dinner or we order a pizza?" As a mother/step-mother of 5, I make it a habit to sit down and plan meals for the week and do all of my grocery shopping at once. It cuts down on the gas used to make multiple trips to the grocery store & it also locks me into a plan for the week as far as meals go.

Give it a little Flava!

If you're having trouble meeting that 8 cups a day goal for water consumption, don't be afraid to add a little flavor. Flavoring packets, if chosen carefully, make it so much easier to drink lots and lots of water on a daily basis without adding many calories or sodium. I prefer the Crystal Light Fruit Punch packets myself - tastes just like Koolaid!
