Know your bottom line

I think this is an essential exercise many people dont do. Tally up your monthly net income, and tally up your monthly expenses, not including frills, like coffee at coffee shops. What you have left is your discretionary income. The "extra" money you have at the end of the month. There are 4.3 weeks in a month, break down your "extra" money per week and make a budget.

Keep sugar level

Drink water, tonic water with lemon or lime slices, 6 ounces of skim milk, OceanSpray diet cranberry juice mixed with 1/2 water, sugar-free soft drinks, and tea that's unsweetened. Embrace fruits and veggies especially greens, spinach, kale, green beans and broccoli, cucmbers, onions red and white, celery, apple slices. Avoid sugar and salt.

Do isometrics!

When you sit around in the car/office/etc do some isometric exercises: tighten a muscle group (i prefer abs, hiney, lower- or upper leg muscles) for 10-15 seconds then relax. It is a good strenghtening exercise and after trying it you'll see that it instantly 'wakes you up' even if you were sleepy.

Sometimes I find myself in a dilema. It is 9:00 PM, I am bored, tired, and have nothing to do. This is a prime opportunity to overeat and then beat myself up in the morning. My solution. Just go to Bed!!!!

My Blackberry

Every appointment, every task gets entered into my blackberry. Not only do I get reminders, I can see my day or week at a glance. I put tasks that I want to get completed-such has cleaning a particular room in the house, or block time to pay bills, etc. Birthdays, anniversaries, etc, right at my finger tips.

Have a FUN Exercise Day

Set one day of the week aside for a fun workout... like playing with your kids or a Sweatin' to the Oldies-or, in my case- Yoga Booty Ballet workout. It gives you something different to look forward to and it's a change of pace from the regular workout routine!
