I have had the most weight-loss success when I had lunch for breakfast, dinner for lunch and breakfast for dinner. That way, my lightest meal is at night and I wake up hungry ready to eat breakfast (or lunch).

I just love to add fruit to a salad and it is a good way to eat your required fruits and vegetables. Apples, oranges and grapes are my favorites to add to a plain lettuce and tomato salad.

Eat your dinner on a 9 inch plate instead of the standard 12 inch plate. It makes the smaller portions look bigger and will also help you control the size of your dinner.

We all need fruit and veggies and freezing grapes is one way of making them last for weeks. I buy a bunch and pull them off the stem, wash them, but them in baggies and freeze them. I eat them frozen in my cottage cheese, salads or just for snacks. They are best when still slushy.

Instead of using bread, I use Romaine lettuce to make a sandwich. It is a lot fewer calories than bread and lets you get the satisfaction of eating a sandwich.

I use unsweetened applesauce or apples instead of butter when I am backing. If you need a little sweetening, use Splenda or a few drops of Stevia.

I have been walking around my community for a long time and one day, one of my neighbors asked to walk with me. It was really fun and we gabbed all the way. We now walk three days a week and vary our routes. We haven't run out of things to talk about yet.

Use Romaine Lettuce Instead Of Bread
I had guests for lunch and I made tuna sandwiches, but used Romaine lettuce instead of bread. Neither of my guests had done this before and really enjoyed it. I used cookie cutters to cut the lettuce and it looked very festive too.
